Meet Our Team!
Tiana Rogachevsky (She/Her), LMFT
DBT-Linehan Board of Certification, Certified Clinician
Founder/Clinical Director
I value building a compassionate and non-judgmental therapeutic relationship and working collaboratively to build a life that is worth living.
In our sessions I focus on finding a balance of communicating acceptance, so your struggles can be heard, while looking at ways to improve your life for the future. I help you connect to your values and define behaviors that will get you on a path that increases your sense of self-worth. I am highly committed to the evidence-based practice of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), practicing clinically for 13 years and applying it in my own life concurrently.
Tiana provides individual, couples, family and parent therapy; She also co-leads DBT skills training groups and provides DBT coaching for adults, adolescents, and families. Tiana has provided therapeutic services to diverse populations, ranging from children on the autism spectrum to severely and chronically mentally-ill adults, including those with co-occurring substance use disorders. Prior to founding DBT Center of Long Beach she provided individual therapy at the largest social services agency on the Westside of Los Angeles, Ocean Park Community Center, with a focus on harm-reduction. Tiana then worked as a DBT therapist at both the Clearview Women’s Center for Borderline Personality and Emotional Disorders and Clearview Center for Addictions and Mental Health Disorders residential programs. Most recently, Tiana spent three years at DBT Center of the South Bay, continuously working on her skill. After having her first child, Tiana took a year to see clients at her private practice, Sage Mind Therapy. While Tiana enjoyed meeting with clients individually, the universe pulled her back to the outpatient Standard DBT program where she decided to organize and direct DBT Center of Long Beach.
She has completed various trainings including:
Radically Open DBT Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 Training, Presented by Thomas R. Lynch, Ph.D.

Shayla Patron (She/Her), LMFT
RO-DBT Program Director
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I deeply value cultivating a non-judgmental and compassion-focused space for clients to feel genuinely heard, seen and understood. I value a collaborative therapeutic process as we work towards creating a life that truly feels worth-living.
I have worked in a variety of treatment settings including Residential Treatment, Partial Hospitalization (PHP), and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) programs. My clinical experience includes working with children, adolescents, and adults struggling with anxiety, depression, eating disorders/disordered eating behaviors, body image issues, trauma, and borderline personality disorder.
Along with specialized training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), I also am trained in Radically Open DBT (RO-DBT) for disorders of overcontrol and have assisted in developing our RO DBT program at the DBT Center of Long Beach. It is a true privilege to provide skills coaching tailored to each client’s unique experiences.
Vulnerability can be scary and immensely courageous. No matter where you are in life, there is hope for healing, growth and self-discovery, and you do not have to go through your journey alone. It is my hope to empower clients and help them find strength within themselves on their journey of discovery, freedom, and fulfillment.
Shayla has completed various trainings including:
Radically Open DBT Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 Training, Presented by Thomas R. Lynch, Ph.D.

Nicole Elizabeth (She/Her), LMFT
Therapist
As a clinician, I work to support my clients as we work to identify the patterns of thinking, feeling and behaving that keep you stuck in maladaptive cycles, working with a goal of transmuting that energy into building a value-based life where you feel connected, fulfilled and engaged.
Traditional talk therapy left me frustrated as I found that it was helpful for identifying where pain comes from and how it feeds maladaptive behaviors- yet it provides little structure for cultivating the tools and skills necessary for implementing and sustaining the change and growth that clients come to therapy looking for.
I've found that DBT provides a straightforward structure and a multitude of clear and effective tools for reducing problematic habits, managing emotions, and improving relationships. I provide a compassionate, judgment-free space where we can work together to imagine the life you want, look at the life you have, and plan together to manage the obstacles to bring the two closer together.
Dr. Cindy Nguyen (She/Her), Registered Psychological Associate
Therapist
I am a Registered Psychological Associate who speaks both Vietnamese and English, and I work under the supervision of Dr. Jessica Pishney, PsyD. I earned my doctoral degree from the APA-accredited Alliant International University, Los Angeles, and completed my doctoral training at the APA-accredited Western Youth Services. I also completed two years of postdoctoral training providing comprehensive Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) in Orange County.
I have experience supporting people who are struggling with depression, anxiety, PTSD and complex trauma, suicidality and hopelessness, personality-related challenges, substance use concerns, and major life transitions. I am certified in Seeking Safety and trained in a range of evidence-based treatments, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing. My DBT work has included individual therapy, phone coaching, and facilitating DBT skills groups in both intensive outpatient and outpatient settings.
I work with people who feel emotionally overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to move forward. Many of my clients describe feeling like the “black sheep” in their family, struggling with emotions that go from 0 to 100, or feeling trapped in cycles of anxiety, shame, or relationship conflict. I’m also passionate about supporting high-achieving perfectionists and chronic people-pleasers who are beginning to notice the cost of always saying yes or being overly agreeable.
I help clients manage overwhelming emotions, navigate crises, and build healthier relationships by teaching clear communication and confident boundary-setting. My goal is to help you reduce burnout, reconnect with your inner voice, and make choices that better align with your needs and values.
In addition to providing therapy, I conduct psychological assessments to clarify diagnoses and guide treatment, including ADHD evaluations that can support academic accommodations. I offer individual, couples, family, and group therapy.
Outside of work, I stay active with weight training, boxing, spinning, and rock climbing, and I also embrace a “soft life” with reading, café hopping, and walks on the beach.

Adult Skills Group Leader
I believe that creativity, spontaneity, and playfulness are paramount in work and life. As such, I view them as a vehicle for finding the life-work balance many of us seek, thus allowing us to experience the best version of ourselves. I utilize a non-judgmental, compassionate and integrative approach with my clients including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Humanistic/Rogerian and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). I have experience working with children and adults who have depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, and life transitions.
I completed a 3-Day: Dialectical Behavior Therapy Certification Training with Katelyn Baxter-Musser, LCSW, C-DBT, through PESI. I am a Trained EMDR therapist and working towards certification. Additionally, I have trained in improvisational theater at Improv Boston, Huge Theater, and Brave New Workshop. My doctoral dissertation was Development of an Improvisational Theatre Skills Training Video to Be Used in the Clinical Training of Psychotherapists. I am thrilled to be a part of the DBT Center co-leading Adult DBT groups!
