Per weekly DBT or RO-DBT session, applying the skills to the specific challenges in your life. Phone coaching included at no added charge.
Skills Training Group · 90 min

Per weekly virtual group. Standard DBT runs 24 weeks (Wed 3:30–5pm or 5:30–7pm); RO-DBT runs 30 weeks (Tue 5:30–7pm or Thu 6–7:30pm).

Why we publish our rates
Individual sessions cost $225 to $295, 90-minute skills groups cost $110, and phone coaching is included at no extra charge for individual therapy clients. We publish these numbers because choosing a therapist is hard enough without also having to guess what it costs.
How is your fee determined
Rate depends on the clinician you're paired with. Which clinician you are paired with. It is also based on the therapist's experience and license level.
Other information to note
We are a private-pay, out-of-network practice with no in-network tier. Clients with PPO plans often lower their real out-of-pocket cost through partial reimbursement through their insurance carrier.
Pricing FAQs
Do you take insurance?

No. DBT Center of Long Beach is out-of-network with all insurance plans. Clients with PPO plans can request a superbill to submit for partial reimbursement (typically 50 to 80%, plan dependent) after meeting their annual out-of-network deductible. HMO, Medi-Cal, and Medicare plans generally do not reimburse for out-of-network care.
Is phone coaching really free?

Yes. Phone coaching between sessions carries no additional charge for any client enrolled in individual therapy.
Why does the individual therapy rate range from $225 to $295?

The rate depends on which clinician you are paired with. More experienced or specialized clinicians are at the higher end of the range.
